Countless images are made of flowers. It must be more than their beauty or joy that captivates us. The way light changes their attitude throughout the day— directing us to the curve of the neck, the flair of a petal, the symmetry of the teeniest parts: it’s enough to mesmerize.  These images were photographed through the glass of my modest greenhouse in coastal Oregon, the subjects all grown by me from seed.  I love my flowers.  They take my breath away.
